Ensuring a high-quality educational experience

UNE makes assessment of the knowledge, 技能, 和 values students develop here central to reaching data-based decisions that ensure educational effectiveness 和 a high quality educational experience. All of UNE’s 学术项目 和 its general education regularly assess 和 annually report on their 学生学习成果. Co-curricular units, including the 学生事务处图书馆服务, also assess 和 report on their 学生学习成果.

The 教务长办公室 和 the University 评估 Committee (UAC) facilitate two ongoing, 平行, 和 interrelated processes that make up the university-wide assessment system. Programs submit an assessment report every year 和, 使用纵向数据, conduct a comprehensive program review 和 create a strategic plan every three to seven years.

ACADEMIC PROGRAM REVIEW 和 STRATEGIC PLAN

As the other part of the two-fold process that makes up the university-wide assessment system, 学术项目 undergo a periodic internal program review that entails a deep dive into their curriculum 和 educational effectiveness 和 results in the establishment of a long-term strategic plan.
